STEP 3: Complete Admissions Application
Applications to Aquinas Academy must be completed via the Archdiocese of Newark Schools page using the button below. Please be prepared to upload birth certificate(s) and, if applicable, baptismal certificate(s). For Grades 1-7, please also upload any pertinent records, such as report cards and standardized test scores for the past two years. If your child has an IEP or receives special services, please also include that information with your application.

STEP 4: Pay Application Fee
Once you have completed an online application, please submit your $50.00 application fee below.
STEP 5: Submit Prospective Student Reference Form
All students applying for grades 2 - 7 must submit the prospective Student Reference Form from their current principal as well as one teacher as part of the application process. Please provide the contact information of the principal and the teacher in the following form.

STEP 6: Be an AQA Knight-for-a-Day (KFAD) and Complete Grade Level Assessment
As an AQA Knight-for-a-Day, students seeking admission to Transitional Kindergarten through Grade 1 will spend the morning while students seeking admission to Grade 2 - 7 will spend the day with his or her prospective class. KFAD will permit our teachers to get to know your child and observe him/her in the classroom setting. Each student will be assessed by the classroom teacher during KFAD. KFAD students will be evaluated on their ability to successfully handle the curriculum, engage with other students and faculty, and be a positive role model in the classroom. The evaluation will be used to assist in making a decision regarding acceptance. The Admissions Office will contact you regarding available KFAD dates. Read our KFAD FAQs for more information.
STEP 7: Application Review
Once your application, pertinent documents, and fee are received, the Admissions Committee will review your application and contact you to should additional information be required.
STEP 8: Notification of Acceptance
All students must be approved by the Admissions Committee and will be admitted conditionally for sixty (60) days. Acceptance is subject to change pending receipt of final records from the student’s previous school(s).
You will be notified by the Admissions Office regarding the status of your application once all academic records are received and reviewed. Upon acceptance, you be will provided with information regarding the registration process.
STEP 9: Upon Acceptance, Complete Registration Process as Directed by the Admissions Office
A complete registration includes ALL items on this registration checklist. Your child will not be considered registered and will not be added to the class roster until all forms are received.
