Q. Who may participate in the Knight-for-a-Day program?
A. The Knight-for-a-Day program is for students entering grades 2 - 7 who have submitted an application and have been invited to visit the Academy.
Q. What is the purpose of the Knight-for-a-Day program?
A. The program allows our teachers to get to know your child and observe him/her in the classroom setting. It also permits the student to experience what a typical day at Aquinas Academy is like. Students will spend the day with his or her prospective class and take part in all class activities planned for the day as well as complete a grade level assessment.
Q. What time should my child be at Aquinas Academy?
A. Students attending our Knight-For-a-Day program should be at school by 7:45 AM.
Q. Where should I drop my child off?
A. Students should be dropped off at the Daly Parish Center (Gym)
Q. What should my child wear on the day of his/her visit?
A. Students should wear appropriate attire for school—no jeans or sweats. Clothing should not have inappropriate messaging on it. If the class your child is visiting will be going to gym that day, your child should wear clothes appropriate for participating in gym class. The Admissions Office will advise you as to whether gym will be part of the schedule.
Q. What does my child need to bring with him/her?
A. KFAD students should bring bring a healthy snack.and lunch. Aquinas Academy is nut-free so please do not pack any items containing nuts or nut products.
Q. What time do I need to pick up my child?
A. Dismissal is at 3:00 PM for students visiting Grades 2 -5 and 3:10 PM for students visiting Grade 6 -8.
Q. Where do I pick up my child at the end of the day?
A. Students visiting Grades 2 - 5 should be picked up outside the Daly Parish Center. Students visiting Grades 6 -8 should be picked up near Madonna Hall.
